Real estate programs integrating sustainable development issues are on the increase at Val d'Europe. Subsequent to the CCI Seine-et-Marne, whose future headquarters will be an HQE® certified building, the SIMT (occupational health providers), who will occupy the first energy-positive building in Marne-la-Vallée, and the IT data centres, connected to the heating network developed by Val d'Europe's Syndicat d'Agglomération Nouvelle (SAN), sustainable development has now gained a footing in the transport sector. On 25 June, Transdev, 4th private public transport company in Europe, inaugurated their first public bus transport HQE® technical maintenance support centre at Val d'Europe, on the municipality of Bailly-Romainvilliers.
Developed in conjunction with Euro Disney, the sector's regional administrations as well as the public development authorities, EPAMarne/EPAFrance, this centre will operate as a depot and maintenance centre for buses servicing the Pep's network covering twenty-plus bus routes, well frequented by Val d'Europe residents and Marne-la-Vallée Sector 3 inhabitants, and also shuttle buses transporting tourist destination visitors between Disneyland® Paris and the Ile-de-France airports.
The inauguration of Transdev's technical centre was notably attended by Christian Jacob, ex-minister, deputy mayor of Provins and President of the Commission on sustainable development and town and country planning at the National Assembly, Joël Lebreton, Chairman of Transdev, Arnaud de Bellenet, Mayor of Bailly-Romainvilliers and Francis Borezée, Vice President of Real Estate and Tourism development for Euro Disney.
