These developments emerge while Val d'Europe registered the addition of 370 new companies in 2009, at a pace of more than 7 new businesses per week (over 5 in 2008). This cluster consisted of 1,659 business establishments at 30 September 2009, up from 1,467 the previous year, which is an increase of 13,1%. (source: SAN Val d'Europe, 17/12/09)
"Businesses establishing themselves in these new commercial development programs will contribute to upholding the activity ratio of 2 jobs per working-age person, exceptional for Greater Paris and for a new town" said Francis Borezée, Vice President of Real Estate and Tourism development for Euro Disney. "This relaunch in the commercial property market illustrates the shift in scale for Val d'Europe as a major business cluster in Eastern Paris, greatly stimulated by the economic dynamics generated by the European tourist destination of Disneyland Paris."
